Make an Organic Garden Step by Step

As we have seen in other posts, having an organic garden at home not only brings us economic benefits, since we can save some money by growing our own products, it also brings us the joy of being able to produce our own food at home.

It is for this moment that today we bring you step by step the way to make our own organic garden.

  • The first thing we must do is clean the land very well, so that it is clean of herbs, stones, sticks and any type of foreign objects that may interfere with the cultivation.
  • If the grasses are low, we can pass the rototiller directly, but if, on the contrary, the grasses are tall, it is necessary to use the mechanical brush cutter and then make sure to collect the remains to be used later as part of the compost.
  • The day before plowing it is important that we water the land, in this way the earth will be moist enough to start cultivating. Remember that if the dirt sticks to your shoes it is important to wait a bit until it is dry enough, but not too dry.

  • If you are making a small garden you can till the land with a hoe, while if it is a larger garden I recommend that you use the rototiller or motor hoe.
  • It is very important that when removing the soil, you remove the roots, stolons and bulblets from the herbs that appear.
  • It is very important that all the work you do in your garden, whether it be cultivation, tilling or soil removal, be carried out during the morning hours or at the end of the afternoon.
