Before proceeding with the sowing, it is important to prepare everything that we are going to need . In this way, it will be an even more rewarding task that will take less time. In this case, we will use:

  • Seeds : Can be purchased at nurseries or garden stores. It is highly recommended to put them in a glass of water to hydrate them, thus accelerating their germination.
  • Seedbed : it can be a pot, milk containers, yogurt cups, peat tablets… whatever we prefer at that time. The only thing to keep in mind is that the excess water must be able to come out somewhere.
  • Substrate : as celery is not demanding, we can use black peat mixed with perlite in equal parts, or buy a specific substrate for seedbeds.
  • Watering can with water : of course, after each planting or transplant, you have to water.
  • Sunny location : for our plants to have optimal development, it is convenient that we locate them in full sun.

And now that we have it, let’s move on to the next step.

Planting is a wonderful experience, especially when you know that you will get an excellent harvest from those seeds . To sow celery, proceed as follows:

  1. Fill the seedbed almost completely with the substrate that we have prepared.
  2. Place a maximum of two seeds in each, and cover them with a little soil.
  3. Finally, we will water and place it in an area where the sun’s rays reach it directly.

In a matter of a few days they will germinate.

Happy planting!
