South African Coral Tree

We start the list with a deciduous tree native to South Africa. Its scientific name is Erythrina caffraand it is a plant that reaches a height of 9 to 12 meters. It does not usually have spines, but when young it may have 1 or 2 on the spine. The flowers are very beautiful, scarlet-red in color and about 5 centimeters in diameter.
You need a mild, warm climate, as well as well-drained fertile soil. It resists frosts down to -7ºC.

Also known as red cotton tree, it is a deciduous tree whose scientific name is Bombax ceiba. It is native to India, and it is a plant that needs a lot of space. It can reach and exceed 20 meters in height, and develops a thick trunk up to 2 meters in diameter. Its flowers are red, and appear in spring.
It requires frequent watering and a mild climate, with temperatures between 10 and 30ºC. Now, from my own experience I will tell you that it withstands temperatures of up to 38ºC maximum, and up to -2ºC minimum, but when it drops below 15ºC its growth slows down a lot and then in spring it is difficult to start again ( it only does so when it is kept above 15ºC).
Enterolobium

Enterolobium has very elegant bipinnate leaves, similar to those of other species such as Albizia, and expire. It grows in the warm-temperate regions of the American continent, specifically from Mexico to Argentina. With a height of about ten meters, and a crown diameter of up to fiveit is perfect to protect yourself from the sun while enjoying a picnic with the family, or reading a book.
It resists drought well, and high temperatures. You don’t like the cold; In fact, it only holds up to -1ºC as long as it is a specific frost and of very short duration.

We have spoken on other occasions about this unique tree, and of course it could not be missing from this list. Originally from Madagascar, grows to a height of 8-10 meters. It has a parasol crown, composed of pinnate green leaves. Its flowers are magnificent, grouping in very dense inflorescences in spring.
El flamboyant It is the ideal candidate when looking for a tree whose flowers are very showy. It resists up to -1ºC, maybe up to -2ºC once it is adult and well rooted, as long as they are specific and short-lived frosts.
Baobab
If in addition to being warm your climate is rather dry, the baobab it will be your tree. It grows in semi-desert areas, with low rainfall. It has a rather slow growth rate of up to 10 meters in height, but undoubtedly what draws the most attention is the thickness of its trunk: it can be hugged by 10 people! Incredible true?
In order to cultivate it, it is necessary for the garden soil to be able to drain the water, as it is a tree that fears waterlogging. Likewise, the minimum temperature must be high, 10ºC or higher.

The fig lyrata It is native to tropical Africa. With a height of about 10 meters, it has quite large leaves of about 20cm in length. It can be pruned as a shrub, like the one you can see in the image above, or allowed to grow as a tree. In any case, it is a very grateful plant that will undoubtedly give you great satisfaction.
The only thing you have to keep in mind is that the earth must be rich in organic matter, and the climate must be warm, without frost.
Mango

El mango, whose scientific name is Mangifera indicatesis an evergreen tree native to India and Indochina that can reach a height of 45 meters. Its crown is wide, up to 30 meters in diameter, and it blooms in spring. Its flowers are not very decorative if we compare them with those of other tree species, but they do have some ornamental value. The fruit is also edible.
It requires more or less frequent watering, and above all – and this is very important – a mild climate, without frost.
tabebuia

And we finish this list with the tabebuia. Its flowers are a true natural spectacle. Depending on the species, they can be yellow or pink. Ideal for small gardens, they grow in the tropical regions of America. They are deciduous trees of medium size, reaching six meters in heightwith a slim trunk ideal for confined spaces.
They bloom during the spring, and resist up to 0 degrees (although it is better to keep it above 5ºC).
