It is acaule, that is, it has no stem, and It is formed by linear-lanceolate leaves with the entire edge of green or variegated color, between 20 and 40 cm in length. by 5-20mm wide.
It is the typical plant that our elders find in the house, and it is so easy to maintain that we just have to remember to water it every time the ground is dry (about 3 times a week maximum).
Ivy
La ivy It is a woody, perennial climber native to Macaronesia, western Europe, northwestern Africa, south central Asia, and eastern Japan. It can reach 30 meters in height if it has supportbut its development can be controlled easily with pruning. Its leaves can be of two types: the juveniles are lobed, and the adults are whole and cordate. The flowers sprout from stems and are small, yellowish-green in color.
To have it perfectly healthy does not require much; in fact, it will be a very happy plant if we water it between 2 and 3 times a week and we change the pot every time roots grow out of the drainage holes, or every 3 years.

Depending on the species, it can have wide and long, or thin, green, glabrous or variegated leaves. It produces flowers arranged in clusters, panicles, spikes or fascicles depending on the species.
Due to its origin, it has to be in a protected area and receive no more than 1-2 irrigation / s per week.
Zamioculcas zamiifolia
La zamioculca It is a rhizomatous root herbaceous plant native to East Africa. Reaches a height of between 45 and 60 centimetersand is formed by pinnate leaves, slightly leathery, about 7-15cm long. It produces flowers in a small 5-7cm bright yellow spadix. All its parts are poisonous when ingested.
Needs very little watersince it does not tolerate waterlogging. You have to let the soil dry completely before watering, and avoid putting a plate under it (unless we remember to remove the excess water 10 minutes after watering).
