Juania australis

It is a beautiful palm tree related to the Ceroxylon found on Robinson Crusoe Island whose scientific name is Juania australis. It is formed by a solitary trunk, erect and without thorns, crowned by pinnate leaves. Its growth rate is very slow, and it is so difficult to find that there is not much information about it yet, but we can tell you that more or less reaches a height of 7-8 meters.

In principle, it should live well in the mountainous areas of the tropics, as well as in the warm Mediterranean climate, in slightly acidic soils and well drained, but it is very susceptible to the Phytophthora fungus. Its price? Ten seeds cost around 200 euros.
