Among indoor plants, the Begonias. This genus encompass a large number of plantsall of them beautiful and different. Most of them produce flowers, being these, normally, small.

Surely in every home there is at least one Begoniasince they are very simple plants to care for, which stand out for their long duration and the beauty of their leaves and flowers.

They can be classified into three groups:

  1. those of flower: they stand out for producing flowers.
  2. The leafy ones: its main attraction is its leaves.
  3. the shrubs: are those that can reach one meter in height.

Within those of flower we have a clear example that is the Eliator Begonia. This plant has dark green leaves and flowers of all colors, red, pink, yellow, etc. The flowers occupy practically the entire plant, the leaves remain in the background. Its flowers last a long time, but for this to happen they must not be exposed to direct sun, but to semi-shade. In addition, it must be watered abundantly while its flowers delight us. Flowering usually occurs from spring to fall. It is a very delicate plant and prone to diseases.

As a leaf plant we can highlight the begonia rex. This plant has a multitude of variants, from leaves that look like spirals to colored leaves. Although the main attraction of this type of Begonias are the leaves, it does not mean that they do not produce flowers, since they do, but they are so small that they go unnoticed in relation to their leaves. Its care is simple: no direct sun and abundant watering.

Finally, among the bushy Begonias the most representative can be the Begonia credneri. This can reach 60 centimeters in height and its leaves are elongated green. This plant also produces pink flowers.
