Plants for trails

Patios and paths surrounded by green bushes highlight those areas of the garden that divide corners and sectors.

It is difficult for them to be found in small gardens but when the surface accompanies it is common for evergreen shrubs, vines and multi-colored flowering plants look at the sides of the roads.

Not just any plant is suitable for decorate roads and trailspatios and differentiated places, some of them are ideal because they cover large areas quickly or are strong when it comes to adapting to inclement weather.

Colors and shapes

You can plant these specimens in the corridors and also in the decorations made with rocks to highlight these areas. If you are looking for a creeping plant that also gives off a rich aroma, you can choose the woolly thymea perennial herb with round leaves that spreads over the ground. It is pale green in color, turning gray, and adapts to well-drained soils and sunny locations. Another ideal creeper is the golden jennywhich is noted for its yellow leaves. It is a perennial and very resistant plant, so you are guaranteed the beauty of your garden throughout the year. You can grow it in pots or directly in the ground.

However, one of my favorite options is the with the braina plant of the Lamiaciae family that presents beautiful deciduous and perennial flowers of various colors.

Vines and mosses

If you like vines, the blue star variety is a very beautiful option that also does not present major complications since it is resistant. It is named for its blue flowers and the most obvious problem is that it grows a lot so it will have to be controlled with periodic pruning.

Mosses are also highly chosen as a decorative element, ideal to accompany the sense of a path. There are bigger and smaller ones being the irish moss a possible choice. Although it is called moss, it is actually a ground cover with flowers but it looks like such so it will add green to your garden. Another similar alternative is Scottish moss.
