Paint
The paint (or gpaint if you use GNU / Linux, or Paintbrush if you use MAC) is the Free classic Windows 2D drawing program. It is very intuitive to use. Depending on the version and operating system, you can find the program menus in the top bar, and the tools in the left bar, or both at the top.

If you are looking for a free online garden design program, with Gardena Garden Planner you will be able to make a very interesting draft of how you want it to look, not only the garden, but also the terrace or patio. In fact, has a wide variety of accessories to choose from: plants, furniture, as well as other elements, such as lampposts, parasols or ponds.
The most interesting thing is that you don’t need to register if you don’t want to, but you do have to know that if you do, you will be able to save the design and even share it.
Sketch Up and Sketch Up Pro
The Sketch Up and Sketch Up Pro programs are a bit more complicated than the previous one, but they are also more complete. With them you can make spectacular 3D designs, both of your house and, of course, of your garden, regardless of the experience you have in this field, since They include finished models from other users, or if you prefer, you can create one from scratch.
The Sketch Up Garden Design Software allows geolocation with Google Maps and Google Earth, and also has video tutorials, online help, a lot of textures and 3D effects… What more could you want? The only “flaw” is that, although the trial version is free, it does not have as many features as the paid version.
Are for Windows and Mac. Sketch Up is free, while Sketch Up Pro is paid, it can cost over 600 euros.
Garden Puzzle
The Garden Puzzle program is a bit different from what we’ve seen so far. Instead of using a ready-made model, or having to make one yourself, what you do is start from a photograph of the garden, and thus obtain a more or less approximate plan with the elements that we have included. But also, you can define the weather and soil conditions or even see what it will look like depending on the season.
Another highlight is that you can work online, or download it to your computer (Windows). You also have a paid version (17 euros).

The Ashampoo 3D CAD Architecture 5 program is designed so that all people, whether they are experts in design or not, can create real wonders. Thanks to him, we will have a virtual »briefcase» with all the necessary tools to make our draftwhich we can do both in 2D and 3D.
It also has tutorials that will help us to better understand the program, and all at the reasonable price of … 0 euros. Yes, yes, indeed. You can have all this without paying anything. The only problem is that it is only available for Windows.
My garden
My Garden is an online garden design tool and irrigation planner that was created by the GARDENA company. It is very useful when you want to make a general draft of our future green paradise, and very easy to use: you just have to enter the dimensions of the land, and then add the house, the garage, and / or the trails. With this data, the program itself will show us a list of recommended products for the installation of the irrigation system customized that best suits our needs.

Garden planner
Of all the garden design programs that we can find freely downloadable, Garden Planner is one of the most recommended. There are two versions: a trial version, which is of course free, and a paid version (30 euros). Only for Windows.
3D Garden Design
With the Garden Design program it was created by the Data Becker company, and is especially suitable for design tight spacessuch as a patio, orchard or terrace. With it, you will be able to take advantage of the space much better, and all thanks to its easy use. In addition, you will be able to see the preview of multiple sketches and / or plans, either in the same program … or on the Internet.
The program is paid (it costs 49,95 euros), and is available for Windows.
