They attract attention because their colors intermingle and that is how they resemble the plumage of a parrot. There are varieties such as Destiny, Orange Favorite or White Parrot, among others.

The fringed tulips They also have only six petals but they differ from the parrots because they have fringes on their edges that usually have a different color from the rest of the petal.

If there is a reason why the variety of Rembrandt tulips It has been baptized with that name because its colors are reminiscent of the work of the great artist. Multiple spots and stripes can be seen on the petals of this very exotic variety and it is difficult to find it because this variety is hardly cultivated today. The shapes that the Rembrant tulip take on are the result of a virus.

And for those who prefer simplicity to excess are the simple tulips and single-colored, with cup-shaped flowers. Within this variety there may be some that are presented with bicolor petals, such as the Shirley or Union Jack varieties.
