Campanula, known as Campanillas or Bell of Italy, is a herbaceous plant native to the Mediterranean. It can reach a height of up to 2m, but it does not usually exceed 40cm. Produces blue, white, or purple bell-shaped flowers.

Delphinium

Delphiniums, known as Larkspur or Bunnies, are annual, biennial or perennial plants native to the Northern Hemisphere and Africa. They grow to a height of 60-70cm depending on the species. Its flowers are grouped in spike-shaped inflorescences, blue, white, pink or red.

Dianthus or carnations are mostly perennial herbaceous, native to Europe and Asia. They grow to about 50cm tall, and they produce very unique flowers, composed of five petals whose margins are very characteristic, pink, red, white, yellow or orange.

The Dimorfoteca, known as Pole Star, Cape Daisy or Cape Marigold, is a perennial herb native to South Africa that normally reaches 45-50cm, but can reach up to one meter in height. Gazania is a perennial herb up to 20cm tall that is grown as an annual in areas where winter is cold. It is native to South Africa and is characterized by having daisy-shaped flowers that open when the sun appears and close when the sun disappears. They are known by the names Garden Pea, Látiro, Latiros, Sweet Snail or Sweet Pea, and are 40cm tall when fully grown. The beautiful and curious flowers are grouped in inflorescences in the shape of an axillary or solitary raceme, pink, white or red in color.

The Phlox, or Flox, are native to the temperate regions of North America and Northwest Asia. They are annual or perennial plants that grow up to 1,5 meters in height, and that they produce flowers in a wide range of colors: pale or deep pink, white, red, pale blue.

The portulaca grandifloraor flowering purslane is an annual succulent plant native to South America. It grows up to 20cm in height, with flowers that appear solitary or grouped in inflorescences of up to 4 flowers, which they can be pink, white or yellow.

Primrose is a perennial plant native to China that grows to 30cm. It produces very pretty flowers, yellow, white, lilac, orange and purple. that are grouped in dense inflorescences, of up to 12 flowers.

What care do they require?

Spring plants are generally very resistant, but so that no problems arise, here is your care guide so that you can enjoy this season to the fullest together with your plant beings:

  • Location: in order for them to produce a large number of flowers and they are healthy, it is important that you give them direct sunlight at least 4 hours a day. If it can be more, the better it will be.
  • Soil or substrate: they are not demanding, but it is true that if they are grown in pots they will have a better development if the substrate to be used has very good drainage. In addition, it is also advisable to place a first layer of clay balls inside the pot before planting them.
  • Irrigation: frequent, every 2 or 3 days. As summer approaches, it may be necessary to water every 1-2 days. If we have a plate under them, we will remove the excess water 15 minutes after watering.
  • Subscriber: During the warm months, but especially when they are in flower, it must be paid with a fertilizer for flowering plants, or with guano in liquid form. In both cases, the instructions specified on the packaging must be followed.
  • Planting or transplanting time: if the temperature is mild, over 15ºC, it must be transplanted or planted in the garden the same day it is purchased.
