Yesterday I was in iberflora, in Valencia. And I was struck by this magnificent cultivating tablein wood, with its stakes for vines and its support for a small planter. Researching the manufacturer, I come to the Areté Foundation and I am surprised by the activity of this non-profit organization created in 2006, which aims to promote the labor and social insertion of people with mental illnesses and with difficulties to insert themselves into the world of work.
The Areté Foundation has the CET Areté, a Special Work Center, specialized in the manufacture of reclaimed wood products for ecological horticulture and gardening. Pioneers in the manufacture of their products adapted for people with reduced mobility with great acceptance. The cultivation table that dazzled me is one of them.
The CET Areté contributes to sustainable and responsible environmental management by recycling all types of wood, mostly scrap pallet.
The main objective is to promote the labor insertion of people with mental illness, facilitating their individual growth and improving their quality of life and their development in the social sphere. Your human team It is made up of 16 people, 11 of whom are people with a disability derived from mental illness.
