Canary grass is the main ingredient in our enzyme solution
An homemade enzyme solution is easy to prepare and will give our potted plants a nutrition greater than that provided by its scarce soil, it will transform part of the non-soluble nutrients into soluble ones and will contribute bacterial life to the substrate.
Enzyme is the third of our ecological solutions that you can prepare at home. The other two, the insect repellent and fungicide, which we recently published, will help us prevent or fight pests. The enzyme solution will make our potted plants grow more strong and healthy.
As a homemade enzyme solution there is nothing better than birdseed. Watering with this preparation we will obtain a much more active substrate, full of beneficial bacteriological life for the plant. It will transform most insoluble nutrients and dead root debris into soluble minerals and sugars.
To elaborate it, we will put 300 grams of birdseed in a liter of water for a day, then we will beat everything and strain it.
The solid partWe can use the remains of shells that remain by adding them to the substrate that we want to regenerate, once the cultivation is finished.
The liquid part We will dilute it 1: 5 (for each part of enzymatic solution we will add five of water). We can use this preparation throughout the growing cycle, being more recommended during flowering.
