Synthetic (chemical) pesticides can be very useful in certain situations, when pests are already widespread, but their prolonged use is not recommended.and much less if what we are growing are plants for human consumption. In addition to being toxic products, over time they weaken plants, as can happen to us if we lived permanently inside a house: when going outside, any virus, bacteria, drastic change in temperatures, etc. it could make us sick because our immune system simply would not have had a chance to produce the necessary antibodies to deal with them.

For all these reasons, home remedies are gaining more and more popularity. And if there is one that is especially interesting, it is the one prepared with garlic and onion. These two ingredients, as we know, give off a very intense smell, which repels a wide variety of pests, such as aphids, whiteflies and ants. How do you prepare? Very easy.

The first thing to do is prepare the ingredientsThese are:

  • 1/4 onion
  • 1 / 2 garlic head
  • 1 tablespoon grated white soap
  • 1 liter of water

Spray leaves

Now that we have it all We must proceed to chop the garlic and onion into very fine pieces. Once this is done, we will add water and grated soap and mix everything well. To finish, all that remains is to let it rest overnight and fill a spray bottle with this mixture. In this way, it will be much easier to treat the plants.

We will use it, as a minimum, once a week. But if we see that the plague is spreading or that the plant is weakening, we can repeat the treatment more often.
