Forget-me-nots, sky-blue flowers that bloom in early summer in meadows and edges are known to everyone. It’s widespread wild flower style=”font-weight: 400″>. They grow in gardens hybrid varieties with larger flowers. Forget-me-nots are an unusual decoration for any garden.

How to plant and care for forget-me-nots

Ideal place for forget-me-nots – wet penumbra. soil prefer loose, light and moderately moist. An excess of moisture is undesirable, as this can cause root rot. And if there is not enough moisture, the flowers will quickly fade.

Forget-me-not seeds should be sown in the garden in June-July. Before this, dig the soil, add peat, humus and 1 tbsp. a spoonful of nitrophoska per sq. meter. Plant everything well into the soil to a depth of 10 cm.

Soil surface level, make shallow grooves (1-2 cm), water them and sow the seeds, sprinkle with sand, lightly tamp and cover with a film until sprouts appear. After two weeks, the first shoots will appear, then remove the shelter. Watering small plants must be taken with great care, using a mesh watering can, so as not to wash them away.

Fortified seedlings for a permanent place drop off in August-September. The distance between plants is 15-20 cm. To create a flower carpet of forget-me-nots, plant plants according to the scheme 15×15 cm.
