Origin and characteristics

It is a very old hybrid tomato, so much so that we can say that it is the “salad tomato of a lifetime”. It is spherical in shape, with a dark green neck and an average weight of between 170 and 230 grams..

The plant that produces it has the same characteristics as other tomato plants; that is, it can reach a height of up to 2 meters, it has compound green leaves, and flowers grouped in simple clusters colored yellow.

If you want to grow robin tomatoes, we recommend that you follow these indications:

  • Location: it must be outside, in full sun.
  • Earth:
    • Pot: mix 70% of mulch with 30% of perlite.
      The container must be wide, at least 40cm in diameter, and have holes through which the water can escape.
    • Orchard: grows in fertile soils, with good drainage.
      If it is planted in rows, it is necessary to leave 1 meter between them and 35cm between tomato plants.
  • Irrigation: frequent, daily in summer.
  • Subscriber: throughout the season, with organic fertilizers such as guano following the instructions specified on the package.
  • Multiplication: by seeds in late winter.
  • Transplant / planting in the garden: 40-50 days after sowing.
  • Harvest: from early summer to autumn. It matures more or less 75-80 days after sowing.
