Cypress

Would you like to have a garden that looks rustic, healthy and, moreover, protected? If so, evergreen conifers are your best option. These plants, although they tend to grow rather slowly, hardly make anything dirty, since they remain evergreen throughout the year, and they are also very resistant to cold and frost.

But there are many varieties of cypress and sometimes it is not easy to choose one. We are going to propose 9 of them. Know them.

The Siskiyou cypress it is an endemic tree of northern California and southwestern Oregon (USA). It reaches a height of 10 to 25m, and its trunk reaches a thickness of up to 50cm (rarely 1 meter). Its foliage is pendant, greenish-gray to opaque to glaucous greenish-blue.

Like other species of cupressus, its cones remain closed until a forest fire breaks out. But it has a slow growth rate, and it can take years to produce its first cones. If a fire broke out earlier, it could end up with too many specimens, making the species even more threatened.
