How to prevent weeds from coming out?

As we saw earlier, the first thing we should know about weeds is that they make our garden look unkempt and ugly. They are also a refuge for pests and give the feeling of compost to our trees and plants. However, not everything is negative, they can also be used to protect the soil from erosion and reused to incorporate them into the soil.

And although having a garden or orchard without the presence of these weeds is almost impossible, since although we try to eliminate them they always arrive because of the wind, animals such as birds, etc., there are some ways to prevent them.

It is for this reason that today we bring you 5 tips to prevent its appearance.

  • Before you start planting your tree or plant, clean the ground very well, making sure the stolons, rhizomes and bulblets are as clean as possible.
  • If you are making seedbeds or want to multiply your plants using pots, it is important that you do not use soil or soil from your garden, as this will help your new plant to become overgrown with weeds. Try to use mulch, peat or other types of stratum such as river sand.

  • To avoid the proliferation of weeds, the most important thing is to prevent their appearance, so we recommend that you eliminate annual herbs before they start to release their seeds, since afterwards it could be too late and more difficult to eliminate.
  • You should not water the areas of the land where it is completely bare, since much more plants and weeds will come out spontaneously. You can opt for a special form of irrigation, which is drip irrigation that allows you to locate the water, at the point where the plants are located.
