Reused or own creation?

Sedum rubrotinctum

It is certainly a good question. Do you want to make your own stand, or do you want to give a new life to, for example, a wooden ladder? Depending on which one you opt for, you will have to do one thing or another:

Own creation support

For those who like crafts, this is an excellent option. To make a plant stand you will need:

  • Choose what material you want it to be (wood or plastic)
  • Make a design on paper to see how it would look
  • Buy the screws and other things you may need, such as a handsaw and/or a ruler
  • Get to work 🙂

It is important that you know in advance what dimensions you want it to have more or less an idea of how many plants you are going to be able to put. Otherwise, it can be the perfect excuse for the family to do something together, and to hang out.

reused support

If you choose to reuse something that seems sloppy looking, you need to do the following:

  • First, we will sand it well.
  • Then it will be time to paint . If it is made of iron, I recommend that you paint it white first, as this will make it easier for the other shades to stand out, covering the rusty parts. You may have to give it two or three coats of paint, but it sure looks great.

Afterwards, it will only be necessary to place our support in the place that we have chosen.
