The plant known by the scientific name Halimium atriplicifolium It is an herb that produces very pretty yellow flowers, and it can also be grown in a wide variety of climates.
As it does not grow much, it is a very interesting species to have anywherebe it in the patio or in the garden.
Origin and characteristics
It is an evergreen subshrub native to the west of the Iberian Peninsula known as white jagz, jara del diablo or white rockrose that reaches a height of up to 175cm. The leaves are ovate-oblong, 2-5 by 1-3cm, greenish in color. The flowers, which sprout in spring, are grouped in very elongated and tomentose inflorescences, are yellow and measure about 4cm in diameter. And the fruit is a capsule with stellate hairs at the apex that ripens in early summer.

If you want to have a copy, I recommend you take care of it as follows:
- Location: it must be outside, in full sun.
- Earth:
- Garden: grows in siliceous soils, with good drainage.
- Pot: fill with universal growing substrate. You can mix it with 30% perlite, arlite, pumice or similar to improve drainage.
- Irrigation: 3-4 times a week in summer, and every 5-6 days the rest of the year.
- Subscriber: in spring and summer with ecological fertilizers once a month or every 15 days.
- Multiplication: by seeds in spring. They are sown in a seedbed with universal cultivation substrate, outdoors, in semi-shade.
- Pruning: remove dry, diseased, weak or broken branches whenever necessary.
- Rusticity: resists cold and frost down to -6ºC.
