They are plants that can reach impressive heights, and take up a lot, a lot of space. Often in the gardens they are one of the first to plant, since it could almost be said that they are the pillars of the same, around which the place comes to life.
There are large trees in the world, so much so that it is difficult to see them outside their habitats or very spacious grounds, such as in botanical gardens. Even so, her beauty is such that they are well worth seeing and getting to know them.

Strangler fig
Known as ficus benghalensisIt is a plant that is technically not a tree, but an epiphyte and also a parasite since with its roots it suffocates the plant that serves as a support in its early days. But as over the years it does acquire the shape of a tree, it could not be missing from the list.
It is native to India and Sri Lanka, and as you can see in the image to the left, it can occupy an area of several hectares.
