Origin and characteristics
The Kalanchoe blossfeldiana it is a succulent plant native to Madagascar. It can reach a height of about 30cm and a width of about 20cm, which makes it become a very suitable plant to have in pots and / or planters. Its flowers have varied colors, going from red to orange, there are also yellow or white flowers, single (as seen in the photo above) or double.
A simple method of reproduction is by leaf cutting. The leaves, which are bright dark green in color, can be planted in trays by laying them down slightly, covering the end where the roots will come from with some peat. This tray should be placed in a place with a lot of light, but avoiding direct sunlight as it could be harmful.
Care
One of the most problematic pests for them are undoubtedly the snails. These small mollusks love tender leaves, which is why we must protect the plant with a repellent or placing it inside the home.
