When it’s very hot, you may not want to move from the fan, or get too far from the air conditioner. But if you have a terrace, you have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors even on those days. And no, we are not talking about swimming pools. Although these are recommended if you like to swim, to have one you must have the necessary space, something that is not always possible.

No, actually, there is a really interesting alternative that can be put on any terrace, regardless of its size: the nebulizers. Like any appliance, it will require a series of maintenance tasks, but none of them will take up a lot of time.

How does the terrace fogger work?

At times when the mercury in the thermometers does nothing but rise, reaching such high values ​​that it prevents us from being out of the house and feeling well, putting a nebulizer can make our day brighter. And of course, imagine sitting on your terrace and suddenly notice how a very fine and fresh water falls on your body. This removes the discomfort you feel when temperatures rise more than we can bear.

But to fully understand what a nebulizer is, you have to know that its operation is quite simple: this it expels the liquid obtained from the hose connected to the water outlet with a high pressure in the form of particleswith which it is achieved that the thermal sensation of the person who receives them is somewhat lower.

There are two types:

• Portable nebulizer: it is one that, as its name indicates, can be taken anywhere. Its height is usually adjustable, and it has several nozzles through which the water can come out at different pressure depending on the function you have chosen.
  It is very advisable when you have two residences for example, or when you want to take to other parts of the patio or terrace.
• Fixed nebulizer: it is the one that, once installed, cannot be taken from one place to another. It is very interesting when you want to put in a certain place where your family and / or you are going to be a lot.

What is its maintenance?

Anything you buy or have has to be maintained for the longest possible life. In the case of the nebulizer, it is important that it is cleaned and disinfected regularly with specific productsas otherwise there could be a risk of the water causing Legionella, as described in the Royal Decree 865 / 2003.

For this reason, in addition, it is very, very necessary to know the origin of this water. In this regard, it must be said that if this is from the consumer network, its quality will be good, since in the end it is what we use to drink. But if you use well water or another network that is not drinking water, you must disinfect it beforehand.
