Sowing

Our protagonist is an annual herb that grows spontaneously in orchards, gardens, rubble and gutters, so that its seeds can be sown directly into the ground, since it is likely that they will all germinate in less than we think. Yes indeed, so that they can germinate well, it is highly recommended to sow them in rows, leaving a distance of about 30cm between them.

Once done, will be covered with soil and the drip irrigation system will be put into operationor it will be watered with a sprayer. After two weeks, we will see the first seedlings sprout.

Maintenance

For them to grow and develop well, it is convenient to water them regularly, preventing the soil from drying out. As usual, will be watered every 2-3 days, increasing the frequency in summer. But there is still something else we can do to make them produce a lot of leaves: fertilize them.

We will use an organic compost for this, such as chicken manure, and we will put a 2cm layer around each seedling once a month.

Harvest

They will be ready to collect from late spring to late summer. As soon as we have them, before consuming them we must clean them well with water to remove the dirt.
