Our protagonist is a perennial herbaceous plant native to Mexico where it grows in regions with a warm climate with occasional frosts, in very fertile soils. It grows to a height of about 90cm, so it is ideal for delimiting paths or sections within the gardenand also to have as a potted plant on the patio or terrace. Its leaves are lanceolate with a serrated edge, of a very beautiful bright green color. Another of its most interesting characteristics is that its flowers, which are blue in color and appear from spring to late summer, attract hummingbirds and butterflies.

The sage farinacea It is a plant that, even if you do not have experience in caring for plant beings, it will not disappoint you. The only thing that must be taken into account is that, if you want to have it outside, you have to place it in areas where the sunlight is direct, and that it must be protected from temperatures below -2ºC.

Irrigation will have to be regular, but letting the substrate dry between one and the other. We can take advantage of and add, once every 15 days, universal liquid fertilizer or with guano, from spring to autumn. This way, your Salvia will have adequate growth and development.
