Mugwort care

The wormwood is a plant that has excellent medicinal properties. It has a thick coat, a plump stem and dark green leaves on the upper side and white on the back. Its plant grows in the hedges of the northern half of the country, especially in the Pyrenean valleys, and it likes to grow among the rubble. It is one of the oldest medicinal plants in the world, so it is highly recommended that you plant one at home to take advantage of all its benefits.

Basic sagebrush care

It is a lively plant that usually reaches one or two meters in height and that in summer has clusters of yellow flowers. These are the main cares for mugwort:

  • You should transplant it once a year because its growth is very fast.
  • It needs to receive sunlight in order to develop properly.
  • You can plant it with any type of soil since it is not whimsical in that sense.
  • You have to water it once a week, although if you see that it is very hot and it dries up right away you can water it twice.
  • Birds tend to peck at them when they are young so be careful. You can avoid this by placing a plastic net over the plant during the first weeks so that it is protected.
  • The ideal date to prune it is in April as this will keep its compact shape the rest of the year.
