This tree belongs to the family of the myrtaceaebeing the areas where it originated those of New Guinea, Sulawesi, Midanao and New Britainthe northern hemisphere being the area in the world where it develops most naturally. In a wild state, in forests, it can reach a really prominent height, with an average length of these being approximately 70 meters.

Its trunk is very long and its characteristic of multicolored is due to the variety of tones, ranging between garnets, oranges, purplesdifferent types of greens, blues and darker tones, complemented in a whimsical way and giving it a very particular look. The reason for this combination of colors may be that at a certain time of the year this is certain layers of the crust begin to fallexposing internal parts of the bark that is initially green in color. This scaling is what causes that, when these new barks that see the light mature, they end up giving the tree the colors mentioned in its trunks.

Its glass during youth is conical, to later give a slightly more varied shape. Regarding its roots, its root system is superficiallateral and radial, reaching approximately a third or even a quarter of its height.

To develop its roots, everything will depend on the conditions of the soil in which it is found and, of course, on the competition with other trees that are in its vicinity. As a favorable characteristic for its cultivation in urban areas, it can be said that the roots of Eucalyptus they do not pose a threat to foundations or sidewalks.

Its leaves, in terms of dimensions, can be about 10 centimeters long by 5 cm wide and they grow alternately or sub-positionally. They have an acuminate apex and their base is obtuse.

The flowers that this tree presents show a color between whitish and cream, whose development is in the form of inflorescences of umbels that can have about 8 flowers for each of these.

When these have already been fertilized, at that moment the fruit will develop, showing a particular shape of a small cup or dome that is approximately 0,5 centimeters long.

But its incredible color makes this type of eucalyptus more considered ornamental in nature around the world than for any other use. In the case of wanting to grow it in a garden, this can be calmly arranged as an isolated character treeor you can make small forests of them, by growing several specimens.

The individual cultivation in a garden has to be carefully thought out, since being so big and growing so fast, this will quickly intervene in the architecture and the landscape of the space where it is located. In addition, it must be borne in mind that it does not support cold or frost.

It is a species that can grow between 2 and 3 meters per year approximately and must have plenty of water and regular irrigation, since it naturally tends to grow in flooded land.
