We have talked about the protection of plants against frost and seedlings in the cold, but, among the species that we cultivate in our flower potthere are some more vegetables cold resistant what others.

Do you want to know which plants suffer the most from the effects of low temperatures?

Garlic, leeks, beans, cabbage, peas, broccoli, turnips and radishes are species very resistant cold (they endure temperatures around 0º and even some degree below 0).

Chard, celery, lamb’s lettuce, onion, cauliflower, endive, lettuce, radish, beet and carrot are species resistant cold (withstand temperatures up to 5º)

Basil, potato and parsley are species of temperate climates and they don’t hold up well low temperatures (below 10º)

Eggplant, zucchini, cucumber, pepper and tomato are species of warm climates and do not resist low temperatures.
